White Wine Summer Sangria Recipe
Summer is here and the sundresses and sangria are flowin’!
Whether you’re looking for a pre-dinner drink or a luscious libation for a summer bash, we’ve got the perfect recipe.
Courtney here, and today I’m making a refreshing summer sangria. After four weekends in a row of traveling (so weird to be able to say this again) and lots of wedding planning (here’s our engagement story!), I decided that I needed a summery drink to relax and celebrate our first real summer in NYC. We moved two weeks before the pandemic, so this post-vaxx summer has felt like our first foray into the NYC scene.
Packed with fresh fruit and topped with a splash of club soda, this white wine sangria recipe offers the perfect reprieve for a hot day. One of the things I love most about this recipe is that it’s not too sweet, especially if you pick a dry white wine like Sauvingnon Blanc. Another bonus? You can make this exact recipe with red wine and it’s just as delicious. I made a pitcher of each for a family gathering, and it did not last long!
Pro tip: Make this 3-4 hours before you're ready to drink to let the sangria really soak up the fruity flavors.
White Wine Summer Sangria Recipe:
Two bottles of white wine (I chose Sauvignon Blanc)
⅓ cup triple sec
⅓ cup orange juice
1 orange sliced (not peeled)
1 cup strawberries
1 cup blueberries
1 cup blackberries (or raspberries)
Club soda or seltzer
Ice
Squeeze of lime (optional)
Directions:
Mix together all ingredients besides the club soda and ice in a pitcher and put it in the fridge for 3-4 hours.
Pour your sangria into your glass and add your desired amount of club soda. I typically add a ¼ of a cup.
Add ice and enjoy :)
