10 Black-Owned Businesses To Shop and Follow
Last week, we took some time to pause sharing our regular content in order to listen, learn, and hold space for the voices that need to be amplified right now.
While we’re encouraged and inspired to see the way many have come together in our country this past week to fight for racial justice, we also know that the fight against systemic racism is by no means a one-week social media event and that there remains an immense amount of work to do.
We are committed to doing the work, to learning what it truly means to be actively anti-racist, and to amplifying the voices of black creators, artists, and dreamers in as many ways as we can.
One of the best ways we can support the black community is to truly invest - our time, money, and resources - and in last week’s post we shared a list of anti-racism reading along with several places to donate. Today, we want to highlight 10 black-owned businesses creating beautiful work that we’re loving right now.
We also included Insta links for each of these businesses as some of them are currently sold out of inventory (which is awesome news), but we’re following their work and excited to see them restock soon!
1. AAKS
This Justina dress from Sika Designs could not be prettier. They have so many beautiful dresses!
4. Black Pepper Paperie
I am totally in love with this ceramic jewelry from Black Pepper Paperie! She is sold out of a lot right now but still has a couple really pretty pieces left in her store.
5. Lolly Lolly Ceramics
Lolly Lolly Ceramics makes some of the most gorgeous pottery - sign up for her newsletter her and follow her over on IG to be the first to know when she releases more of these gorgeous pieces!
6. Elan Byrd
I love finding new wineries to try out, and McBride Sisters is a black-owned, woman-owned winery with some delicious looking blends.
9. Golde Wellness
I’ve heard so many amazing things about Golde Wellness products for awhile now, and I’m excited to try their Make Your Matcha kit! I’m obsessed with matcha and been wanting to try making it at home for awhile now, so it’s fun to find a kit like this that has everything you need to get started.
10. Klur
Not only do Klur’s products have the most beautiful packaging design (move over, Aesop), they sound like they’d be the perfect addition to any self-care or skincare ritual. This hydration serum seems like the perfect way to keep my skin glowy after long summer days in the sun!
These are just a few examples of awesome black-owned businesses, so if you know of any others please drop them in the comments below!
