5 Inspiring Self-Help Podcasts in 2021

Podcasts used to get me through my 40-min commute to the office during pre-pandemic times, and although office travel has been on hold for awhile, they’re still a great companion for my daily walk or a good alternative to scrolling social media.

Courtney here — I originally wrote this post in early 2020, and since then, my taste in podcasts (and the people who create them) has vastly changed. I used to be really into the “hustle harder” and “good vibes only” messaging that personal development influencers often preach, but I’ve since realized it did more harm than good for me. I had also come to notice that I wasn’t exposing myself to a wide range of perspectives, and that definitely was not helping me evolve as a person.

I’ve updated this list to reflect the type of “self-help” that resonates with me more now (I also have some self-help book recs you can check out here). Although some of my favorite episodes are from 2020, as of April 2021, these podcasters are still producing new episodes. So whether you’re chilling at home, walking to a coffee shop, or perusing the aisles of Whole Foods, here are five self-help podcasts that serve up some inspiring content.
