5 Must-Try Faux Fur Coat Styles for Winter
it’s official - the red starbucks cups hath arrived and holiday decor is landing with gusto just about everywhere. this means that for many of us, it’s time to dig out the winter wardrobe and drape ourselves in layers for 6 months. the good news is, there are tons of cute and cozy faux fur coat styles this season, so consider the challenge accepted.
faux fur is one of our favorite looks for winter because it a) is cozy AF 2) is thick enough to do most of the heavy lifting in keeping you warm and d) gives you an instant hollywood glam feel. (props to anyone who caught that small nod to Home Alone just now, thinking about the holiday season has me amped to watch it a million times)
here are our five favorite faux fur coat styles to stay cozy this winter:
1. Aviator Style
we love an aviator jacket in any shape or form, but something about it in faux fur, and in PINK faux fur at that is kind of what i imagine a collab between the Pink Ladies and the T-Birds would look like if they decided to do fall/winter ready-to-wear.
2. Moto Cozy
this longer faux fur moto coat is another fun way to mix some rock n roll vibes in with the glam. i discovered this brand Native Youth at a cool boutique in Berlin this summer, and i’m loving everything they do right now.
a double-breasted faux fur coat just takes things up a notch on the sophistication spectrum. i also love this jewel tone color and think it’s always fun to commit to a super bold winter coat color.
4. Animal Print
i love that leopard print has pretty much become a neutral at this point. and a faux fur leopard coat is basically a winter staple - it’s a bit more playful than a plain camel or black coat, but still goes with everything effortlessly.
i love the shaggy faux fur coat look for the same reason i love throwing faux sheepskins on everything from benches to chairs to the end of my bed - it adds so much texture to a look and allows you to keep everything else simple. i absolutely love how it’s styled here with a graphic tee, dark jeans, and a pop of metallic in the boots.
