Easy Espresso Martini Recipe (Dairy-Free!)
Have you ever found yourself simultaneously in need of a pick-me-up and an excuse to get a little drunk? Of course you have, which is why we’re sharing our favorite dairy-free espresso martini recipe today.
By now we’ve probably all seen the memes calling out the espresso martini for essentially being no more than a red bull vodka masquerading as something more sophisticated, but as someone who unfortunately consumed my fair share of those in my early twenties, I’m here to strongly disagree with that assessment.
This non-dairy espresso martini recipe is our go-to when it’s happy hour o’clock but we’re also borderline too tired to participate. It’s delicious, easy to make, and absolutely nothing like a red bull vodka.
It’s also free of any heavy cream or dairy, which sometimes makes a drink like this a little too rich for me. The result is a perfect libation for your next girl’s night, date night, or literally any occasion ever.
Easy Non-Dairy Espresso Martini Recipe
Ingredients:
1.5 oz vodka
1 oz espresso
2/3 oz Mr. Black coffee liqueur
1/3 oz simple syrup
lemon twist to express on top (optional)
espresso beans for garnish
Instructions:
1. Make your espresso and allow it to cool for a couple minutes before adding it to your cocktail shaker
2. To the shaker with the espresso, add the vodka, Mr. Black coffee liqueur, and simple syrup
3. Carefully fill the shaker up to the top with ice (would not recommend putting it under a fridge ice maker as it might violently splash your delicious drink-to-be everywhere….learned from experience)
4. Close the shaker tight and shake the SH*T out of it. Seriously, you need to really really shake this thing for a good minute or two in order to get the frothy top.
5. Strain into a glass through a fine strainer and express a lemon twist on top for a touch of zing if desired. Garnish with espresso beans and enjoy!
